Biography

Dimitri earned his J.D. at the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law, in 2017 and was called to the Bar in 2018. Since then, he has been practicing civil and commercial litigation and has represented clients at all levels of court in Ontario, including the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Divisional Court.

Dimitri joined Sutherland Law in January of 2025 and continues to enjoy a broad commercial and civil litigation practice, with a growing exposure to criminal, fraud and construction litigation.

Dimitri is comfortable advocating for his clients both in and outside the courtroom. He strives to resolve matters efficiently and cost-effectively, all while taking into account each individual client’s unique circumstances and targeted objectives.

Dimitri’s main passions outside of law are ancient/classical history (with a particularly keen interest in Bronze Age Greece and the Byzantine Empire), Greek and Roman mythology, and exercise. He also enjoys travelling, films, fantasy and science fiction literature, and lacing up his old (and undeniably painful) skates during the winter season to get some ice-time with his friends.
Dimitri is not a Leafs fan and offers his most heartfelt condolences to any who are.
